Gerard E. Thomas, O.P. (Ordained Priest) is a registered Jin Shin Do® BodyMind Acupressure® practitioner (www.jinshindo.org). He is a student of eastern spiritual philosophy and has studied and worked with energy for over 12 years. Gerard practices Reiki, too.

In addition to being a registered Jin Shin Do® Acupressure practitioner, Gerard has been a wildlife ecologist for 30+ years. Gerard received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University focusing on Natural Resources and received his Masters of Science degree in Wildlife Ecology from the University of New Hampshire. He has participated in wildlife research through Universities and was a Wildlife Biologist for an Environmental Consulting Firm in New Hampshire. While in New Hampshire, he became a state Certified Wetland Scientist (only 3 states required certification at that time) and his ecology background is also very strong in Plant Ecology and Soil Science. Gerard makes medicinal tinctures from plants he gathers in nature.

Gerard currently lives in southwestern Vermont between Bennington, Vermont and Manchester, Vermont. He spends most of his free time in nature receiving lessons of the Tao. Gerard enjoys hiking, canoeing, snowshoeing, and wilderness camping in Vermont, northern New York and northern New England. He is an avid Nature Photographer and has shown his works in juried art shows and artisan guilds. Gerard currently holds a Fourth Degree black belt in the Bujinkan Martial Arts which he continues to study, practice and incorporate into his daily life. In 2006, he climbed Africa's Mt. Kilimanjaro.
